Bikini cake

A friend of mine needed a cake for her fiancé's 30th surprise party. We decided he would enjoy a bikini cake.  I even included a heart tattoo with his and her names on it :)

The cake was covered in buttercream that I smoothed to look like fondant. The bikini is made from fondant. It was fun to make, definitely something I hadn't done before. I was pretty pleased with the end result.

It's been a long time!

Wow, I've been checking out my blog and I haven't blogged in years!! Sad but too busy to get to the computer with a few minutes to spare!! Hoping that now that I have an iPad to blog from that I can keep up better!

To update my kids are getting soo much bigger! One finishing her first year of preschool and the other finishing the first grade later this week! Where has the time gone! Am looking forward to doing some fun stuff this summer! Educational and fun if I can manage it. Still running on small amounts of sleep so im not sure how that's gonna work... Time will tell.

Have been doing quite a bit of baking lately, :) selling them too and wishing I would hit the lotto so I could do it full time. Thinking of using the blog to post my finished products.

Made a baby shower cake for my bestie, the theme was based on children's books and the invitation had 2 mice reading together on the top.
